Links
A small selection of websites which I have found to be interesting, useful and informative.
General
Camera Position: Web page linked to Jeff Curto's Podcast on the creative side of photography.
Independent Photography in the South East of England: IPSE is an informal support group for independently-minded photographers. IPSE encourages the development of an independent vision and practice unfettered by arbitrary rules.
London Independent Photography: LIP was the original Independent photography group to develop from the teachings of Paul Hill. A sister organisation to IPSE.
Alt Photo Mailing List: The premier list for everything 'alt'. This link will tell you how to subscribe (and direct you to the archives).
Alternative Photography: A website devoted to everything 'alternative' - i.e. not based on conventional silver materials, or purely digital. A vast resource of information and inspiration. Lots of links to follow.
Pinhole Photography: A comprehensive links page on all things to do with pinhole photography. Also the site for World Wide Pinhole day.
Christina Z. Anderson: Christina's clear explanations of her gum bichromate technique in her book and on the alt-photo list greatly helped me.
Hamish Stewart: Hamish's work was an important stimulus in persuading me to pursue gum bichromate. Detailed methods given here as well as some excellent pictures and lots of links.
Katharine Thayer: Another amazing source of help and advice - also from the alt-photo list.
Robin Coutts: A friend, and fellow member of IPSE, Robin's classic black and white work touches spiritual depths.
